Aparently they also slow down more due to the larger wind resistance and hence will be moving slower at longer ranges anyway... or so I've been told!
Basically the rarity of 8mm means that many sites are just unwilling to risk it because they don't understand 8mm or have no experience of it... Thats all there is to it!
You can't blame 'em really, its their necks if it goes tits up!!
Agreed but if it is just them covering their backs why not just say "sorry, our insurance has specifyed 6mm bb's" or "sorry, we cant let you use it for insurance reasons" or just saying "No, sorry you cant use them" rather than just saying no because it hurts more. If they were honest I would respect that and say no more about it rather than them bulls***ing me as to why I cant use my gun and me whinging.
So IMHO mate wait for the 6mm version of the M2 Carby.
Glideridder,
I might have the wrong end of the stick here, but as I understand it, the marushin M2 does have a selector switch and is capable of semi & full auto fire.
I love the gas weapons but have decided to stick with aeg's at the mo. I've gone all german but if funds allow I would either like to convert an M14 or buy a Chinese version M1 Garand ( when they make one)in the future.
Just twidlling me thumbs for the next week or so waiting for the MP40.

From what I have been told by the guys at wolf it only does semi, and needs the M2 mag to power the blowback. Acordingly it wont have a full auto option on the safty/ selector.
I hope I an wrong tho.
Just found out I can use the M1 at lightfighter as long as it is less than 1J. (with .27gs thats 260fps) Yippeeeeee
Just had a look on the Tokyo Model Company site and the blurb says its Semi and Ful Auto, check it out;

I didn't know they did .27g 8mm bbs... great stuff!
How are you going to get the power down though?
Its cold and 134a should push push it out a well below 260FPS. I put a few rounds through it this dinnertime and they wer very low FPS so that should be ok for building work, the rifle should be ok for mid range stuff.
You never said what you thought of the rifle. I recon its OK for less than a Ton.
And when you think I only got It cos someone killed mi M16 I was better than storming across 100meters of open field to get in pistol range it does the job pretty well.
Shame about the stock tho.
I did say I thought it seemed good! Build quality for the price is fine...
Just depends on how well it shoots really!
sorry mate, that must have been when the avon lady called and you were aiming at the dog
It was a bit hectic last night.
I'd never aim at the dog... now the avon lady... I might... erm... no I wouldn't...
Is she used to people shooting airsoft rifles whilst visiting your house?
I normally just pose in the full length mirror that is visable from the front door with my bedroom door open
(Its like the nike advert that was on the telly about 2 years ago)
er... now I'm worried....
Bell'ys Gonna Get You. He He
With the Magnification of that scope Im supprised if you could see the dog, let alone the Avon lady, Bit of a beast isnt it? Variable power scope upto 24X zoom with a focus ring upto 300 trds on an airsoft gun with a sixty yard range. Evil LOL
Does anyone know if you can convert a spring gun to an AEG? The spring M1 carbine's quite appealing and I might be able to get it on the cheap. Those M1 kits are really something, but a "bit" out of my price range.
no... you can't
Well... not unless you're an absolute genius!
I've certainly never heard of anyone trying.
Depending on the gun you could rip out all of the springer guts and replace it with a suitable fitting gearbox
Isn't the M2 full auto?
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
